A drabble because I’d been thinking about how Isa will figure out about who Captain Falcon really is. Mostly, I’d been thinking about when either she would know before or after Clank finding out, and I decided upon after. This little bit happens after Bart’s return and the whole Berserker era. (which I also have thoughts about haha. But, another time.)
Clank is in a fiery discussion once again after Bart has finally returned. It's about his secret identity, a conversation that Clank had tried to ignite several times with the boss of the Falcon House. More specifically, it was about when the old man would finally tell his sweet little employee who he truly was. Especially so, because it was no secret that she looked up to Captain Falcon. 'Looked up to' - that was only lightly expressed.
It infuriated Clank moreso, because the little boy sensed the spark between Bart and Isa; he wanted nothing more than those two close to him, to be even closer to each other.
To be honest about their feelings.
But that meant that the old man had to be honest about who he was first.
"It's not fair!", The child shouts - something that makes the crease between Bart's brows shift a little. He remains silent throughout Clank's tantrum, though. Neither of them notice the soft chime of the doorbell ring while the boy continued on.
"So if you're not gonna tell her, then I will really do so!"
Isa walks into the diner, having made her return from an errand. Clank exclaims her name upon noticing Bart's gaze pulling away from him to the person behind him.
"Isa-! Bart is-" The child fumbles as he tries to make his threat come true.
"Clank." Isa interrupts him. Her voice comes off a little more firm than intended, but in return, she offers him a gentle smile. "No matter the reasoning, you shouldn't be the bringer of another person's secrets. If a secret feels ready, it will reveal itself, in time."
Clank is quiet for a moment of time, staring up at the brunette with astonishment. Truth to be told, Isa genuinely has no clue of the conversation that had been prior to her coming in. But she didn't need to know. Her gaze falls upon Bart's, who returns it. Perhaps, in her heart, she was already aware.
